Vancouver based guitarist, singer and songwriter Jason Buie has been performed throughout Canada, Europe, the U.S.A. and Japan. Along the way he has played and performed with such artists as blues legend Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor, The Jeff Healey Band, The Powder Blues Band and Big Dave Mclean. With the Release of his critically acclaimed CD “Urban Blues” his profile continues to grow. Jason’s second C.D” “Live at The Blue Gator” has just been released. Jason leaves for a 25 shows through out Europe Oct 20th, 2009.

QUINN and SLUYTER’s collective works began in Early Summer 2001, when they met and worked together playing jazz and dance music on the Starlight Train playing, 2-3 times a week for several seasons.

They have since worked on many projects together as a Duo, Trio, and Quartet playing mainly straight ahead, modern jazz. Quinn and Sluyter also work as sidemen and featured artists in a variety of big bands, and ensembles of note, all around the Greater Vancouver area.

In addition Roy Sluyter runs his own Recording Studio, runs a choir program and is Director of Music for his local Church. He is also in demand as an accompanist in the Classical music scene. He still finds time to write and produce with many of the finest musicians in town.

Norm Quinn works with a variety of Jazz, Blues and R & B bands, and leads his own quartet – Q4. He is currently working on a soon to be released 2^nd CD. Credits include live and studio performances on CBC and work on many recording projects, with various local artists. You can hear Quinn play with Mud Bay, Fat Boogie, Razz Ma Jazz, The Fraser River Rats, BLJQ , The Eastside Jazz Ensemble and his own Jazz Quartet – Q4

Quinn and Sluyter will be performing Great Jazz Standards and original compositions that you will find both uplifting and remarkable. They will feature the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bird, Monk and Mingus, and many of the other jazz masters. They will also play a few gems they have penned along the way.
